This course prepares students to become certified Category 2 thermographers.
Participants will learn about infrared thermography to expand their knowledge of physics, the science of heat, and infrared measurement equipment and its applications.
As a Level 2 thermographer, the participant can provide guidance to Level 1 personnel in the areas of equipment selection, techniques, limitations, data analysis, corrective actions, and reporting.
The 40-hour course includes theory, hands-on training with cameras, and case studies, which are conducted on alternate days. This training concludes with a written exam (no reference materials allowed) on the final day, which includes multiple-choice questions and practical image interpretation. The maximum duration is defined by the relevant certification standards.

- People with technical or professional training, such as technicians, engineers, consultants, or researchers who work in maintenance, building inspection, mechanical or electrical applications, manufacturing, or R&D.
- People with several months of professional experience in thermography.
- People with experience in operating and generating reports from infrared cameras.
