The ITC (Infrared Training Center) is the main source of knowledge in the field of infrared thermography and its applications.<\/p>\n

Level I certification is the first of 3 ITC levels. Level I thermographers are typically new to infrared thermography techniques but that does not mean they are new to diagnostic techniques; many Level I professionals have years of experience in building and maintenance. <\/p>\n

These ITC certifications comply with ISO 17024 and ISO 18436 (Condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines – Requirements for training and certification of personnel). Applicable parts include ISO 18436-1 (International Standard – Requirements for certification bodies and the certification process), ISO 18436-3 (Requirements for training bodies and the training process) and ISO 18436-7 (Thermography). <\/p>\n<\/div>

Objectives<\/p><\/div>

This course prepares the student for qualification as a Level I certified thermographer.<\/p>\n

The student will learn about the basic concepts of infrared, how to operate an infrared camera in different conditions and for different purposes, how to properly judge the measurement situation in the field and how to identify possible sources of error.<\/p>\n

After the course, the student will be able to perform infrared inspections following written guidelines and report the results of this inspection.<\/p>\n

The ITC Level I infrared thermography certificate course is specially designed for beginners in thermography. Some experience in the use of thermal imaging cameras and knowledge of infrared thermography is recommended. It covers a large number of concepts that will help to obtain optimum performance of the camera and ends with an official exam and the completion of an assignment where the acquired knowledge will be verified. <\/p>\n<\/div>

      Evaluation<\/h2>\n

      The course ends with an exam that includes multiple choice questions and thermogram analysis. The class includes exercises and our lecturers work with pictures, drawings and simple diagrams to illustrate the theory in a descriptive way. <\/p>\n
