The RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance)<\/strong> technique establishes four possible strategies for mitigating the risks posed by the failure modes of critical assets. One of these options is predictive<\/strong> or condition-based<\/strong> maintenance<\/strong>, which is the preferred option whenever there are monitorable parameters<\/strong> that, on the one hand, indicate the machine\u2019s health<\/strong> with sufficient certainty and in advance, and on the other hand, whose measurement and processing justify the investment based on the benefits<\/strong> obtained. <\/p>\n

The ongoing evolution of sensor technology<\/strong> and new trends in computing and wireless communications<\/strong> are opening up new possibilities for continuous monitoring, expanding the number of machines that can be monitored.<\/strong> Thus, by combining this information with existing data within the same system and incorporating a specific diagnostic support layer, it will become increasingly possible to reduce the number of hours spent on false positives and improve the quality and efficiency of diagnostics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the conference, we will explore the future of predictive maintenance, machinery analysis and diagnostics, their relationship to plant digitization, and their impact on the long-term strategy of the advanced factory.<\/p>\n
