A flame detector does not wait. It is a “line-of-sight” device that continuously scans an area for the specific radiation signature emitted by a flame.   • UV/IR detectors: Combine a fast-response ultraviolet (UV) sensor with an infrared (IR) sensor that analyzes the characteristic flicker of a flame. Both sensors must be activated to confirm a fire, offering high reliability and resistance to false alarms from welding, lightning or sunlight.
  • Multispectrum detectors (IR3): They represent the most advanced technology. They use three infrared sensors that analyze radiation at different wavelengths. This triple spectral analysis allows almost perfect discrimination of hydrocarbon flames, providing maximum immunity to false alarms even in the most complex environments.
