Boroscopic Cameras

High-precision infrared radiometric borescope cameras with spectral filtering for continuous temperature measurement and furnace profiling applications.

Description

Boroscopic IR Cameras for Furnaces and Boilers

In the most extreme industrial environments, such as inside an operating furnace or boiler, accurate temperature visualization and measurement are crucial to efficiency, safety and product quality. LAND Ametek’s infrared borescope camera systems are designed to penetrate these harsh environments, providing a clear view and continuous radiometric data where visual cameras fail.

These advanced systems provide a high-resolution thermal image from inside the process, allowing operators to make informed decisions from the safety of the control room, optimize fuel consumption and anticipate failures before they occur.

To adapt to the specific needs of each application, LAND Ametek offers two specialized solutions:

LAND NIR-B-640

The NIR-B-640 is the ideal solution for applications with very high temperatures and where it is necessary to see through combustion gases.

  • Measurement Range: Specialized for temperatures from 600 to 2,000 °C.
  • Key Technology: Uses advanced near-infrared (NIR) spectral spectral filtering in the near-infrared (NIR)which allows you to get a clear view through the furnace gases, providing highly accurate temperature readings on the material.
  • High Dynamic Range: Its imaging technology ensures maximum reading accuracy across its wide temperature range, which is ideal for continuous and reliable thermal profiling.
  • Ideal applications: Cement kilns and cyclones, reheating furnaces, continuous casting (zone 1), heat treatment and annealing furnaces.

LAND MWIR-B-640

When the main challenge is dense smoke or particulate-heavy atmospheres, the MWIR-B-640 provides a clear view and accurate data in lower and intermediate temperature ranges.

  • Measurement Range: Offers two ranges for versatility: 300-1200 °C y 500-1800 °C.
  • Key Technology: Operates in the Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR)which allows it to effectively penetrate smoke and hot furnace atmospheres, something impossible for visual systems.
  • Panoramic Field of View: Its wide-angle wide-angle optics (90°)combined with a high-resolution image, allows several areas to be imaged and measured simultaneously from a single position.
  • Ideal applications: General furnace and boiler monitoring, hot and cold zone detection, uneven heating identification and process optimization where clear vision through smoke is paramount.

Both systems are integrated with the advanced software IMAGEProsoftware, which enables long-term data storage, analysis and monitoring. This ability to plot temperature trends over the life of the furnace is critical for process optimization, predictive maintenance and early detection of anomalies such as leaks or buildup, minimizing risk to personnel and maximizing operational efficiency.
