Grupo Álava is participating in the 2nd edition of IMIC, which focuses on the concept of Industry 4.0, where the integration of intelligence into maintenance management is key.

The RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) technique establishes four possible strategies for mitigating the risks posed by the failure modes of critical assets. One of these options is predictive or condition-based maintenance, which is the preferred option whenever there are monitorable parameters that, on the one hand, indicate the machine’s health with sufficient certainty and in advance, and on the other hand, whose measurement and processing justify the investment based on the benefits obtained.

The ongoing evolution of sensor technology and new trends in computing and wireless communications are opening up new possibilities for continuous monitoring, expanding the number of machines that can be monitored. Thus, by combining this information with existing data within the same system and incorporating a specific diagnostic support layer, it will become increasingly possible to reduce the number of hours spent on false positives and improve the quality and efficiency of diagnostics.

During the conference, we will explore the future of predictive maintenance, machinery analysis and diagnostics, their relationship to plant digitization, and their impact on the long-term strategy of the advanced factory.
