Description
The FASTCAM MH6 comprises up to six miniature camera heads coupled to a central processor that ensures precise synchronization of all cameras. All components are tested for high-G performance; therefore, the FASTCAM MH6 is ideal for on-board and off-board applications in the automotive and defense industry.
The system supports up to six compact HD camera heads (35.4 mm x 35 mm x 35.4 mm, weight 100 g) or 12 miniature ST camera heads (15 mm x 15 mm x 15 mm, weight 15 g). A combination of HD and ST camera heads can be connected via a 10 m cable to the main processor, facilitating a wide range of camera head viewing angles and in-vehicle mounting positions.
All camera heads are extremely rugged and have been operationally tested to 160G. Each MH6 camera head, regardless of type (HD or ST), provides exceptional image quality and industry-leading light sensitivity of 5,000 ISO color and 12,500 monochrome. HD camera heads capture 1080 full HD resolution images at 1,000 fps and are compatible with available rugged 1-inch C-mount lenses. ST camera heads capture images at 800 x 600 (SVGA) resolution at 1,000 fps and use M10.5 rugged lenses.
The MH6 processor internally handles trigger distribution and synchronizes with each camera head and incorporates two levels of security for captured image data: automatic image transfer to built-in non-volatile memory in the event of a power failure and automatic image download to an internal 512 GB SSD.
After the test, image transfer to a PC is possible via Gigabit Ethernet and USB. An integrated 3-axis / 1 kHz acceleration sensor is the processor that can be used to trigger the system based on the detected impact level and serves as a backup for the main trigger input.
