The Vaisala DGA OPT100 offers exceptional performance for monitoring all fault gases in a transformer. Specifically designed to be maintenance-free and avoid false alarms, it offers the best measurement trends with high long-term stability. It also provides on-line humidity and temperature measurement, as well as a specific system for leak detection (TGP).

- Maintenance-free: The OPT100 is explicitly designed without gas bottles, filters or mechanical parts, to require no maintenance. No consumables, service, or parts to replace during its lifetime. None of its components have any friction or wear parts and Vaisala’s patented NDIR sensor technology requires no intervention, nor is it affected by temperature or vibration. In addition, the automatic self-calibration system eliminates the effects of oil aging. As the oil ages, volatile compounds are formed that can cause interference with fault gases. Autocalibration detects and eliminates their effects, ensuring that dissolved gas analysis (DGA) results are always reliable.

- Robust and intelligent design: Stainless steel piping, IP66 temperature controlled housing, magnetic pump and valves with no rubbing/wearing parts, hermetically sealed IR measuring unit to avoid contamination of its optics, no cooling fans required and can work in an operating temperature range between -50°C and +55°C. - Gas extraction in the sample: Once the oil sample has been taken, the OPT100 model is the only DGA on the market that performs a vacuum extraction of the gases contained in the sample, just as it is done in the laboratory, not being satisfied only with the gases extracted from the upper part of the sample tank. This guarantees the reliability of the sample taken, extracting up to 95% of the gases contained in the sample.
