This course prepares students to become a Category 2 certified thermographer.
Participants will learn about infrared thermography to expand their knowledge of physics, the science of heat, and infrared measurement equipment and its applications.
As a Level 2 thermographer, the participant can provide guidance to Level 1 personnel in the areas of equipment selection, techniques, limitations, data analysis, corrective actions, and reporting.
With a duration of 40 hours, the course includes theory, hands-on practice with cameras (hands-on) and case studies on alternate days. This training concludes with a written exam (closed-book) that includes multiple-choice questions and practical image interpretation of images on the final day. The maximum duration is defined by the relevant certification standards.
