Grupo Álava invites you to participate in Advanced Factories, April 9–11, 2019, in Barcelona. This event will make Barcelona the European capital of Industry 4.0.

At our booth, C335, you can learn about the solutions we are already implementing and watch our Industry 4.0 demonstrations:

– Automated thermography using collaborative robots for process/production monitoring.

We have equipped a robotic arm with our ENLIGHT technology, which is based on advanced algorithms for processing images captured via thermography, hyperspectral image sensors, NIR cameras, etc. This technology is designed to operate on a local server or remotely and connects to the Álava Group’s IIoT platform to automate and digitize factory processes through various use cases related to predictive maintenance, process/asset monitoring, and quality control. It serves as the engine for an entire ecosystem of specific and customized applications, such as AIDAN, designed as an Industry 4.0 digital solution with the common goal of anticipating failures and optimizing entire industrial processes.

– In-line hyperspectral control for quality monitoring.

The system we are presenting is an online NIR analyzer designed to continuously monitor chemical composition and to optimally determine the end point of the mixing process for different components. This technology, integrated into a quality control system, allows us to automatically digitize our product’s composition parameters, such as the fat content in a slice of cold cut or the presence of acrylamides (a carcinogen) during the cooking process.

– Wireless self-diagnostic systems for predictive engine maintenance.

The platform we are introducing for predictive maintenance and asset monitoring allows us to diagnose potential engine failures in any factory, thereby preventing future unplanned downtime and identifying the root cause of the failure using algorithms that operate on a cloud-based platform and analyze data such as vibration, temperature, and process variables.
