Preditec, a company within the Álava Group dedicated to technological innovation in the field of monitoring and predictive diagnostics for industrial machinery, has been awarded the Innovative SME seal. This recognition, awarded by the Secretariat of Innovation (R&D&I), which reports to the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities, honors small and medium-sized enterprises that stand out for their use and application of cutting-edge technology in business processes and activities.
Since its founding in 1994, Preditec has positioned itself at the forefront of the predictive maintenance sector, relying on predictive techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, and electric motor parameters, among others. Its goal has always been the same: to ensure, through its operations and innovation in prediction, maximum availability of its clients’ machinery and equipment at the lowest possible cost.
Among other areas, Preditec is one of the pioneering companies in cloud monitoring, enabled by the MonoM IIoT platform. It uses technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Extended Reality and offers a digitized process management model, facilitating digital transformation.
The company is also one of Spain’s leading firms in remote predictive diagnostics.
An SME may receive the seal certifying it as an innovative company if it has received public funding in the last three years that has not been revoked, or if it has demonstrated its innovative nature through its own activities. It may also qualify if it has obtained certification as a young innovative company (JEI), in accordance with the AENOR EA0043 specification; certification as an innovative small or microenterprise, in accordance with the AENOR EA004 specification; or certification in accordance with the UNE 166.022 standard on R&D&I management systems.
In this case, Preditec has earned the Innovative SME designation thanks to its participation in the PERTE for Electric and Connected Vehicles. To this end, the company has developed a project to provide users in the automotive industry with an Internet of Things (IoT) platform and a digital twin that allow them to manage the lifecycle of their data simply and efficiently. This platform can be integrated with any manufacturing process using industrial infrastructure capable of generating data, with the goal of reducing machine downtime, prescriptively managing industrial infrastructure assets, and improving manufacturing quality processes.
José Fernández-Díez, Executive Vice President of the Álava Group, expressed his satisfaction with the award of the seal recognizing Preditec as an innovative SME, emphasizing that“the company’s ongoing commitment to R&D in the field of industrial machinery prediction has led Preditec to to a leading position in the reliability engineering sector. This seal recognizes both its track record and its capacity for innovation in serving a wide range of industrial sectors.”
