SDT International, a global manufacturer of ultrasound hardware and software solutions used in predictive maintenance (PdM) and asset reliability, announced a significant change to its product warranty program. Effective March 1, 2018, all major hardware assemblies will be covered throughout the product’s entire lifecycle.
“The lifetime warranty program is a reflection of our confidence in the reliability and quality of our solutions,” explains Allan Rienstra, director of business development at SDT. “But more than that, we want our customers to feel that same confidence. Confident that they can count on worry-free operations, hassle-free repairs, and that SDT will be their primary provider of ultrasound solutions. “
The new program entitles all registered owners of SDT products to free maintenance and repairs for the life of the equipment. The only condition is that the equipment be returned annually for inspection and calibration.
“This program may seem ambitious and even risky,” says SDT Managing Director André Degraeve. “But those familiar with SDT’s mission will see this announcement as a logical extension of our corporate values—to remain simple, flexible, and respectful.”
The SDT brand is synonymous with high quality. Many products manufactured in the 1980s are still in service nearly 40 years later. Creating a customer-focused program is yet another example of how SDT continues to raise its standard of service.
