Today, March 31, 2022, we announce the departure of José María Almazán, the current vice president of sales for the Álava Group, and we are appointing Juan Rueda Sánchez as the Group’s new vice president of business development. He will assume the responsibilities of commercial director and vice president of sales.
After 23 years of building an exemplary career and helping the company grow in an extraordinary way, José Mª has decided to pursue new professional ventures of his own that will allow him to cap off his career as the owner of his own business.
On behalf of the Álava Group, we would like to thank Jose Mª Almazán for all his hard work and his tremendous contribution to our organization, and we wish him every success in his new professional venture, which will not be in competition with the Group and with which we hope to continue collaborating.
We are also pleased to announce that Juan Rueda Sánchez, the company’s current corporate sales director and a member of the Board of Directors, has been promoted to the new position of Vice President of Business Development at Grupo Álava.
The merits and abilities that Juan Rueda Sánchez has demonstrated as commercial director and member of the Board of Directors have made him the ideal candidate for this new role, and at the Álava Group, we are confident that he is the right person to carry out the necessary transformation the company is currently undergoing—a transformation that is positioning it to lead the changes needed in the market, thereby paving the way for new successes, just as has been the case throughout the company’s nearly 50-year history.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Juan and wish him every success in his new role.
The Álava Group, true to its mission of transforming the physical world into information that companies and institutions can use to make decisions, has established a strategy designed to lead it toward a new market paradigm—one that is currently being developed and that will make its business practices, relationships, and services to industries and organizations not only more digital but also promote the value of knowledge as a unique and differentiating source of added value.
