Sustainable Mobility for the PERTE Program on Electric and Connected Vehicles

At Preditec (Álava Group), we have presented—along with 50 other companies and led by Renault Spain—an innovation plan comprising 31 initiatives aimed at developing the Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) for electric and connected vehicles (VEC). The goal is to make the country the undisputed leader in the sustainable mobility sector.

The aim of this initiative is to focus on decarbonizing the sector, where hydrogen and electricity will play a key role. It also aims to advance the technology behind autonomous vehicles, develop electronic vehicle platforms, and promote mobility as a service.

Preditec will develop a flagship project within the framework of process innovation initiatives. The digitalization plan involves creating an IoT platform for automotive manufacturing chains to enable better asset management and maintenance.

This PERTE has been launched thanks to the collaboration of the innovation consulting firm Zabala Innovation, with an implementation period running through June 30, 2025.

Seventy percent of this group of companies consists of SMEs, representing 10 of the country’s autonomous communities. These companies reflect a broad ecosystem of industries and technologies. These include high-tech companies, such as Preditec (Álava Group), as well as companies in the clean energy, circular economy, services, and vehicle, component, and battery manufacturing sectors. They are joined by universities and technology centers.
