Preditec is helping those affected by the DANA by donating thermal imaging cameras.

Preditec and HIKMICRO Iberia are donating six thermal imaging cameras to the Polytechnic University of Valencia to help those affected by the DANA.

Preditec, a company specializing in predictive maintenance solutions and part of the Álava Group, together with its technology partner HIKMICRO Iberia, a leader in thermal imaging technology, has donated six thermal imaging cameras to the Polytechnic University of Valencia to collaborate, alongside the Official College of Architects of Valencia, in efforts to assist those affected by the recent floods caused by the DANA, which have had such a severe impact on the Valencian Community.

This donation will enable the Polytechnic University, together with the Official College of Architects—both based in Valencia—to allow their professionals to use advanced thermal imaging tools to assess and detect moisture-related problems in the affected infrastructure. The thermal imaging cameras have already been handed over to the UPV’s Institute for Heritage Restoration, and their use will facilitate the detection of hidden damage caused by moisture and other structural deterioration, helping to identify and prioritize the need for intervention in the affected areas.

The camera models selected were the M20W with a 50°×37.2° lens and the M20 model with a 25°×18.8° lens. Both devices offer high-resolution images, accurate temperature detection, and high thermal sensitivity, which allows for the rapid identification of potential problems in the affected buildings. These two complementary models cover all inspection needs. They also stand out for their rapid image capture and real-time analysis capabilities, providing detailed reports and optimizing problem detection.
