On October 4, our colleague Ignacio Cienfuegos, Corporate Key Account Manager for the Energy sector at Grupo Álava, participated in the 2023 Operational Analysis of Wind Farms conference organized by the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE). At this seminar, he had the opportunity to share Grupo Álava’s vision of how companies should evolve toward software platforms/solutions (APM) that provide companies with value beyond simply monitoring the condition of assets (CMS), thereby greatly supporting efficient decision-making across the entire O&M spectrum.

Issues such as cybersecurity policies—which all too often hinder organizational development and should be compatible with SaaS solutions on the market (which must meet appropriate standards)—or the need to make the necessary information available in real time to decision-makers, without intermediate processes such as report generation, spreadsheets, or the use of various O&M tools—which are time-consuming and create information silos—form the basis of a solution/platform approach to renewable asset performance management.

At Grupo Álava, drawing onPreditec’s more than 20 years of experience and working side by side with our clients in the energy sector, we have been developing our solution for the past 5 years:-MonoMPlatform —which, by leveraging the full potential and advantages of a SaaS tool, delivers value through ROI for O&M that both the CTOs and COOs of companies in the sector, as well as their teams, will undoubtedly find interesting.

The changes we are seeing in the renewable energy sector call for, at the very least, some reflection on how to approach asset performance management from an O&M perspective. A careful examination of the market for these solutions—looking for offerings that are complemented by local presence and expertise in advanced services for the sector—can be key to finding the optimal solution for each company.

We thank the AEE for giving us the opportunity to share our vision for the wind energy sector, and we encourage companies in the sector to learn more about our proposal.
