YRS05

The YRS05 is a very broadband signal reference source, combining a noise generator and a comb generator in a single compact and portable device.

Description

The YRS05 is a Noise and Comb reference source that generates signals over a wide frequency range, from 25 Hz to 6 GHz. This device combines two capabilities in one: it can produce a broadband noise signal or a comb signal with up to eight selectable frequency steps, giving it enormous flexibility.

Designed as an ideal reference source for EMC laboratories, the YRS05 is battery powered to allow stand-alone operation without interference from power cables, crucial for accurate measurements. Two N-type output connectors (for low and high frequency) are available for direct connection to conductive measurement systems. In addition, with the use of optional antennas (monopole and monocone), it becomes a radiating reference source for characterizing test environments such as anechoic chambers and open area test sites (OATS).

General Characteristics
  • Output from 25 Hz to 6 GHz: Covers an exceptionally wide frequency spectrum.

  • Dual functionality: Output selectable between Noise mode and Frequency Comb mode.
  • Stable output and repeatable measurements.
  • Multiple comb steps: Eight selectable comb modes with steps ranging from 25 Hz to 50 MHz.
  • Compact and portable design: Same dimensions as YRS04 (85 x 85 x 85 x 85 mm) and weight (0.8 kg).
  • Battery powered: Powered by 4 AA batteries, eliminating the effects of wiring.
  • Versatile ApplicationsIdeal for system validation (ISO 17025), site characterization, performance monitoring, component evaluation and inter-laboratory programs.
