I confess that I don’t understand anything about soccer; I neither like it nor am I interested in it, but, like almost everyone else, I’ve watched a game at some point. I recently attended a futsal match, expecting to spend a rather uneventful time there. At one point, I watched in amazement as one of the goalkeepers—who had been shouting instructions to the rest of the team since the start of the game (one of his duties as captain)—left his goal and headed toward the opposing team’s half:
“Can you do that?”
“It’s the flying goalkeeper: this tactic is often used in futsal when the team is losing.”
