Advanced Factories 2020

As it does every year, the fourth edition of the Advanced Factories trade show was held at FIRA in Barcelona; it is one of the leading gathering places for Spanish professionals in digital manufacturing, industrial automation, and Industry 4.0.

As expected, Grupo Álava was once again in attendance to showcase the various solutions it has developed to drive and support our clients in their real-world digital transformation projects. These solutions utilize various enabling technologies, which have been selected to offer the best solution tailored to our clients’ needs, and are based on an in-depth study following the maintenance-process-person analysis model .

The need to improve processes, automate tasks, and reduce costs has led to the development of innovative solutions not only throughout the production chain, but also in quality systems, critical asset management, and the virtualization of support and training.

In addition, the Álava Group also participated in the various conference sessions that took place over the three days of the event, during which real-life examples of digital transformation were presented. Our colleague Marta Alberdi spoke about online machinery monitoring in the Industry 4.0 era, and our colleague Rubén Imbers took part in a panel discussion on remote and predictive maintenance, and our colleague Tomás Ciudad explained the potential of developing digital twins in the industry.
