PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Cooperative flight of manned and unmanned aircraft
The objective of the ENJAMBRE project was to implement a cooperative flight system that allows manned and unmanned aircraft to operate safely in the same airspace in critical onshore and offshore emergency mission environments.
This project sought to provide unmanned aircraft with the necessary technology to perform observation tasks, thus facilitating decision-making during this type of operation, so that manned aircraft can be dedicated exclusively to intervention tasks.

National Security Strategy Priorities
The introduction of RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) technology in civil aviation, together with different vision systems, makes it possible to design more efficient interventions allowing unmanned aircraft to perform search, detection, recognition and identification tasks, something that is even more critical in areas where manned aircraft access is more difficult.
This reduces investment, operation and maintenance costs, increasing service coverage and efficiency. Security is an essential foundation for the development and progress of a free society. Therefore, it is essential to have a basic and generalized understanding of the importance of security as a guarantee of the well-being of citizens and the stability of the State itself.
The ENJAMBRE project focuses on three priorities of the Homeland Security strategy: migration flow management, emergency and disaster protection, and maritime security, where the private sector can provide vital support to the public sector.
