Structural analysis service (ODS and Modal) with calculation of modifications and verification of changes in the structure.

Structural dynamic analysis of machines and installations PRE-7071

Structural analysis in its operational (running machine), experimental and analytical modes aims at characterizing the dynamic behavior in terms of vibration modes, eigenfrequencies and structural parameters (damping, stiffness, mass).

Sometimes, the machine does not respond with a decrease in vibration levels when dynamically balanced, or presents values out of proportion to the causes that force the vibration, without the operation itself allowing to remove it from such conditions.

Structural analysis is used for:

  • Simulate and represent the vibratory motion of the machine as a whole to locate areas of structural weakness, assembly defects (misalignments) and the apparent magnitude of the problem under normal operating conditions.
  • Determine the modes of vibration and modal parameters of the machine or structure as a mechanical system, creating an optimized analytical model with the experimental data obtained from the mechanical excitation (modal hammer, or electrodynamic shaker) of the machine out of operation. The vibration modes represent the operating conditions that lead the machine to a vibrating situation.
  • To conceive on the analytical model structural retrofit solutions that guarantee a separation between operating conditions and critical resonance conditions within safety margins. The refurbishment proposals are calculated by the finite element method (FEM) and empirically verified once executed.
