Analysis and diagnosis of electric motors

Induction electric motor analysis service.

PRE-7025 Electric Motor Diagnostic Service

Asynchronous motors represent more than 90% of industrial drives, due to their constructive advantages and operational simplicity, and present characteristic failure modes that can be detected and analyzed with technologies specifically developed for the analysis of electric motors.

The most characteristic electromechanical problems that can be detected and confirmed with this technology include:

  • Broken bars, with integer or percentage discontinuity estimation.
  • Static eccentricity of the iron, due to permanent deformation, irregularity of leg seats or excessive wear of bearings that pull the rotor out of its magnetic center.
  • Short circuits in stator winding turns, caused by excessive vibrations and overheating during operation overloads.
  • Foucault heating of iron due to short circuits in the magnetic plates.
  • Problems with the quality of the network supplying the motor.
  • Unbalance between phase voltages.
  • Bearing defects or lubrication problems.
  • Mechanical problems such as misalignment, looseness or unbalance.
