Criticality Analysis is a strategic process that allows you to classify your company's assets according to their potential impact on your operation. This assessment considers not only the probability of failure, but also the consequences associated with such failure: from the impact on production and safety, to product quality and regulatory compliance. It is the basis for efficient, results-oriented maintenance management.
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a proactive and systematic tool used to identify and evaluate the possible failure modes of an equipment, process or system, as well as their causes and the effects they would have on the operation. It is not just a matter of knowing what could fail, but how and what the impact would be.
It is a key player in reliability engineering and the design of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is a worldwide proven methodology for developing an optimal maintenance strategy for any type of asset. It is based on understanding the functions of equipment, the ways in which it can fail, and the consequences of those failures.
The goal is not only to keep the equipment running, but to ensure that it continues to perform its intended functions safely and efficiently at the lowest possible cost.

What does our reliability consulting include?
1. Asset Criticality Analysis
We evaluate plant assets according to the following criteria:
- Safety(impact on people and environment),
- Production(impact on operating capacity),
- Maintenance(cost and frequency of intervention).
We assign a specific weight to each criterion (e.g. 35% safety, 35% production, 30% maintenance) and generate a criticality ranking.criticality rankingthat allows us to prioritize resources and efforts on the most relevant assets. This classification is the basis for defining customized maintenance strategies.
2.Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
We identify the possible failure modes of each asset, their causes and consequences. This analysis allows:
- Determine what can go wrong and how.
- Evaluate the impact of each failure on the operation.
- Propose preventive, predictive or redesign actions.
FMEA is a key tool for anticipating problems, reducing unscheduled downtime and improving maintenance planning.
3.Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
When repetitive or critical failures occur, we apply RCA techniques toRCAtechniques to identify the source of the problem. This analysis allows:
- Eliminate defects permanently.
- To avoid recurrences.
- Improve overall system reliability.
We used tools such as the Ishikawa diagram, the 5 Whys and Pareto analysis, supported by CMMS data and interviews with plant personnel.
4.Implementation of Maintenance Strategies
Each asset is assigned the optimal strategy:
- Reactive (Run to Failure)when the failure does not have serious consequences.
- Preventive (PM)based on fixed intervals.
- Predictive (CBM)based on asset condition, using techniques such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography or oil analysis.
- Proactive: elimination of defects through redesign, process improvement or training.
The objective is to applythe most efficient strategy in each caseoptimizing resources and maximizing availability.
5.CMMS and Asset Management Optimization
We reviewed and structured the computer-aided maintenance management system (CMMS), such as IBM MAXIMO, to:
- Create a reliable list of assets and materials.
- Standardize maintenance procedures.
- Facilitate job planning and scheduling.
- Record data for later analysis (costs, times, incidents).
Good CMMS management enables data-driven decision making, improves traceability and fosters continuous improvement.
6.Training and Reliability Culture
We provide technical and strategic training for all levels of the organization, including:
- Reliability fundamentals.

- Use of CMMS.
