Description
This course is intended for testers/operators in charge of performing vibration measurements in the plant and details best practices in data collection.
Students will learn everything they need to ensure the highest quality in data collection, which is the first essential step in the vibration analysis process.
*Prerequisites: No prior knowledge or experience is required.
Objectives
The necessary tools to optimize and improve the data acquisition process will be provided. Fundamentals of vibration and an introduction to vibration analysis will be explained, both fundamental and necessary for both the detection of faults during plant data collection and for the communication and transfer of information to the vibration analyst.
Syllabus
- Introduction. Maintenance strategies and predictive techniques.
- Fundamentals of vibration. Trends, spectra and waveforms.
- Vibration sensors.
- Measurement of vibrations in machinery in predictive routes.
- Introduction to failure analysis. Unbalance, misalignment, clearances and bearings.
- Reports.
- Regulations.
- Practical. Measurements in rotor kit or in plan (to be specified).
New!
Optional case study day. After the training, we invite you to extend the course for one more day, during which you will put into practice the knowledge you have acquired.
