Using laser units will ensure precise alignment, which will help reduce belt wear and failures in bearings and gears.
The PAT aligner comes with two laser transmitter units, each equipped with two spring-loaded guides for securing them in the pulley grooves. The system is equipped with removable guides of various sizes to fit standard pulley sizes (6 mm – 40 mm). Additional guides for aligning timing belts are also available as optional accessories.
The use of two laser transmitters with built-in targets makes it very easy to determine what type of adjustment is needed. Parallel misalignment and angular error are immediately visible to the maintenance technician. In a very short time, it is possible to check whether the pulleys are aligned or not.
The alignment process is extremely simple: turn on the laser and check to see if it hits the marks on the receiver unit. If necessary, make the necessary adjustments to the machine until the laser lines are aligned, verifying that the marks are centered on both units.
With the Fixturlaser PAT, you’ll never have to wonder whether your drive belts are properly aligned. By using the slot as a reference, you’ll achieve precise alignment that reduces belt wear, bearing failures, and vibrations.

Two transmitters with a visible red laser beam
The Fixturlaser PAT comes with two in-line laser transmitters, each equipped with two spring-loaded guides that fit into the pulley grooves. The use of two laser transmitters with built-in targets makes it very easy to achieve the required alignment. Parallel offset, angular error, and torsion are instantly visible to the operator. Within a few minutes, the operator can determine whether or not the machine needs alignment.

Installation of the transmitters
Fixturlaser PAT units mount easily onto pulleys. The spring-loaded probe detects the center of the belt groove. Built-in industrial magnets secure the units to the pulley for a perfect fit. The Fixturlaser PAT comes with removable guides in various sizes to fit standard pulley dimensions A–E (from 6 mm to 40 mm). Additional guides for timing belt alignment are available as accessories.
Alignment Process with Fixturlaser PAT
The visible red laser line makes it easy to determine the position of your belt-driven machines.
The alignment process is just as easy as the setup. Simply turn on the lasers and observe the unit mounted on the opposite side. The laser projects a line onto the target label, as shown in the illustration on the left. If necessary, adjust the machine until the laser lines are aligned with the center mark on both units.
