Vibration analysis and applications in Wind Turbines
PRE 7104. Course on analysis and diagnosis of vibrations in wind turbines.
Course overview
Combined course of: Vibration Analysis Level II + Wind Turbines
Zaragoza ONLINE: 26/11
Zaragoza PRESENCIAL: 26/11
Description
This course is ideal both for those technicians involved in wind farm maintenance plans, without experience, who need to be introduced to vibration analysis and for managers who need to interpret a report made by an expert analyst.
The orientation of the course is practical and based on wind turbine diagnostics. After this course, the analyst will master the technique to start performing his own wind turbine diagnostics and will learn elementary knowledge of vibration measurement setup.
*Prerequisites: No previous knowledge or experience is required.
* Get a discount if more than one person from the same company comes.

Objectives
The objective of this course is to train the attendees so that they can begin to diagnose the most typical problems in wind turbines, failures in bearings, gears, shaft drifts, clearances, misalignment, etc.
Practical examples of all failure modes will be shown and the applicable standards for diagnosis will be worked with.
Syllabus
Practical course:
- Introduction. Maintenance strategies and predictive techniques.
- Fundamentals of vibration. Trends, spectra, waveforms and phase.
- Fault diagnosis: unbalance, misalignment, backlash, electrical generators.
- Introduction to resonance.
- Bearing failures.
- Gear diagnostics.
- Applicable regulations.
- Case studies and examples of the different failure modes in wind turbines: Case resolution, configuration and detection of failure frequencies.
- Practical guide for wind turbine fault diagnosis according to ISO 10816-21
- Approach and resolution of more than 20 examples of wind turbine failure diagnostics detected by vibrations.
- Other tests and techniques used in the wind energy sector.
