Description
This course covers how to diagnose electric motors from the main applicable predictive techniques such as vibration, current, voltage, thermography, ultrasound and partial discharge analysis.
Objectives
- Topic 1: Predictive Maintenance. Parameters and predictive techniques applied to electrical machines. Dynamic and static predictive techniques. Faults that each technique can detect.
- Topic 2: Diagnosis of engine failures by means of vibration spectral analysis. Description of the technique. Identification of mechanical and electrical faults. Summary table. Practical cases.
- Topic 3: Application of infrared thermography in electric motors. Description of the technique. Identification of failure modes. Practical cases.
- Topic 4: Ultrasonic diagnosis of engine failures. Description of the technique. Concept of demodulation. Identification of failure modes. Practical cases.
- Topic 5: Diagnosis of engine failures by means of tribology. Description of the technique. Identification of failure modes. Practical cases.
- Topic 6: Electric current analysis. Description of the technique. Identification of failure modes and summary table. Case studies.
- Topic 7: Fault diagnosis by partial discharge. Description of the technique. Identification of failure modes. Practical cases.
- Topic 8: Static analysis. Description of the technique. Identification of failure modes. Case studies.
- Item 9: Acceptance of new or repaired motors.
