PRE-Lubri measures high frequency vibration to detect if the lubricant film has formed properly. While the lubrication technician adds grease by means of a grease pump, the PRE-Lubri equipment attached to the pump shows the technician if high frequency vibration is detected as a result of metal-to-metal contact due to poor lubrication. When the grease reaches the bearing, the vibration level drops and PRE-Lubri displays low vibration levels and a green indicator informing the technician that the grease has reached the bearing.
With PRE-Lubri equipment we make sure that the grease reaches the bearings and that we do not add too much grease.
