METRIX 5550 vibration switches are mechanical vibration detectors for machine protection at minimum cost.

Its application extends to low and medium RPM machines such as pumps, cooling tower fans, explosion engines, reciprocating compressors, etc.

The vibration detector is a precision inertial mechanism that acts on a SPDT contact when the vibration level (g’s) exceeds the set point. The set point is adjusted from the outside of the unit by means of a set screw.

Resetting the contact is done from a button on the outside of the switch.
