This is an off-line kit to accurately locate the partial discharge (PD) source in a particular slot of generators and engines. The complete kit comes with a PPM-97 peak pulsometer, ferrite probe, ground strap and a handy carrying/storage case. The Corona probe (originally known as the TVA probe) is used to locate the partial discharge in each slot with the winding energized phase-to-phase. It complements the on-line partial discharge monitoring. The PPM-97 probe is generally used on motors and generators with a rated voltage above 6 KV.
